Triple Play Softball Basic $1795

The Softball Basic TriplePlay is the “compact” version of the original TriplePlay. This machine will throw all the pitches very accurately up to 60mph. Simply adjust the 3 dials and any type of pitch desired is yours. The Softball Basic can throw straight balls, risers, change-ups, drop curves, curves, screwballs, drop screws and drops. The pitch speed is adjustable from 20 to 60 mph and is so easy to use. A little different than the original TriplePlay, the Basic can use either a standard outlet or an optional 12v battery pack. No electrical outlet is needed with the Basic when you use the special battery pack. It’s the only 3 wheel machine with a battery pack option and it can throw any type of pitch desired. The Basic is a tremendous value at this price.

UNIQUE DESIGN

Like the HomePlate or original TriplePlay pitching machines, the Basic uses a three-wheel pitching mechanism that is more accurate than two wheels because it puts more gripping surface on the ball which allows for greater accuracy and consistency.

Visibility

The softball is visible from the time it leaves the hand of the feeder until it gets to the batter. This is unlike two-wheel pitching machines in which the ball is hidden by the throwing wheels before being pitched.

Accuracy

The three-wheel pitching mechanism is more accurate than two wheels because there is more gripping surface put on the ball.

Time

The three-wheel design requires significantly less movement of the throwing mechanism to produce different pitches than does a two-wheel machine. Oversized knobs for height and direction control help quickly fine-tune pitch location, so the time it takes changing pitches is fast and easy.

Versatility and Transport

Use the TriplePlay in the batting cage for batting practice or on the field for both batting and fielding practice. Its versatility allows fielders to practice both groundballs and fly balls. Simple to move around…… just set it down and use the transport wheels to push it across the field.

Balls

TriplePlay can pitch all types of dimple softballs and special low seam LPM-12 balls. Do not use regular “game” softballs.

Pitching Machine Balls… From $30 per dozen

The TriplePlay Softball machine works best with dimple balls. Either optic yellow ProNine PM-12 ($30) or Baden special dimple balls ($35) with the red laces embedded into the ball work the best. Also available are the special “low seam Kevlar” softballs from ProNine (LPM-12 at $65) which are as close to a real “game” ball without the high laces or thin cover.

The automatic feed system from Sports Machines America will work on any standard pitching machine, however it is especially well suited and designed for the TriplePlay Pro and Basic pitching machines. The hopper holds about 80 softballs (hopper extender… 150 balls). The batter will hear a beep and see a series of 3 timing lights…… then the ball is released down a clear tube into the machine. Perfect timing system with the batter seeing the ball all the way through the throwing wheels.

AutoFeed Hopper Extender… $125

The Hopper Extender fits onto the top of the ball storage hopper located on the top of the Auto Feed System. This special extender will increase the ball capacity to 75 softballs.
