The HomePlate "Fast Pitch" softball machine throws any pitch in any order anywhere at any time. This machine has the ability to throw a 70 mph riser, 40mph change-up, drop curves, curves, screwballs, drop screws, drops and everything in between. ANY PITCH IN ANY ORDER! And it has the ability to do it all automatically with only a 7 to 10 second gap between pitches. If you have a good scouting report on an opposing pitcher you can program the HomePlate "Fast Pitch" softball machine to simulate that pitcher or any pitcher. Now your batting practice will give your team a definitive edge. The HomePlate “fast pitch” has the ability to throw pitches at random, in a particular sequential order or repeat any pitch over and over and over. PROGRAM FEATURES

The HomePlate "Fast Pitch" softball machine’s programmable features allow for the ability to conduct hitting drills that target specific hitting skills. It has an overall ball capacity of 40 machine balls but with an optional hopper extension the HomePlate can hold upwards of 75 softballs. It stores up to eight different pitches in each of eight different programs (64 total pitches). Here are just a few example programs of the HomePlate:

Fastball Risers Only Program

Store a sequence of straight fastball risers, for instance two at 50 mph, followed by two at 55 mph, followed by two at 60 mph and locate each pitch in a different location.

Riser/Curve Program

Store a 60mph riser followed by a 55mph curve. Simple as that to learn to adjust between these two pitches.

Drop Curve Location Program

Store 6 perfect drop curves and add 2 curves out of the strike zone. Push random and now the hitter needs to identify the strikes and lay off the pitches out of the hitting zone.

No Swinging Program

Store a variety of pitches…. Inside, outside, risers, curves, screws, up and down and all around the plate…… and just have the hitter look and identify without swinging. Practice seeing the different pitches…… See the ball to hit the ball.

Unique Design

The HomePlate "Fast Pitch" softball machine uses a three-wheel pitching mechanism that is more accurate than two wheels because it puts more gripping surface on the ball. The HomePlate also features an innovative sound and light system designed to help batters time the pitches, as well as enhance safety. The batter hears a beep and then sees a sequence of three lights…..Beep (the pitcher sets), red light blinks (the pitcher starts her motion), yellow light blinks (batter loads up), green light blinks (the pitcher releases the ball) and the ball is released from the machine.

HomePlate "Fast Pitch" Softball Machine Extras and Options

Pitching Machine Balls…. From $30 per dozen

The HomePlate "Fast Pitch" softball machine works best with dimple balls. Either optic yellow ProNine PM-12 ($30) or Baden special dimple balls ($35) with the red laces embedded into the ball work the best. Also available are the special “low seam Kevlar” softballs from ProNine (LPM-12 at $65) which are as close to a real “game” ball without the high laces or thin cover.

Hopper Extender…$125

The Hopper Extender fits onto the top of the ball storage hopper located on the top of the HomePlate "Fast Pitch" softball machine. This special extender will increase the ball capacity to approximately 75 softballs.

Remote Control…$195

The standard remote is a hand held control with automatic or single pitch feed and pause functions. Connected to control box with 100 ft. cord.

HomePlate Control Center... $1995

The HomePlate Control Center brings the entire control board back to the batting area. (All HomePlate machines come with the control built into the back part of the machine) This special control is located on a pedestal attached with a 100 foot cable and allows for control of the machine right next to the batter. It makes “coaching” especially beneficial for the batter and easy for the coach to control the machine.
